It is a great pleasure to welcome you from 7. – 12. August 2016 in Interlaken, Switzerland to MH2016, exactly 20 years after the last MH-conference, MH1996, where the first catalyzed hydrogen sorption in alanates was presented by B. Bogdanovic and revolutionized the research on hydrogen storage materials.
The conference location in the center of Interlaken (between two lakes) a beautiful town in the middle of Switzerland. The building where the conference takes place is a former casino with a particular architecture. Interlaken is an old town, mentioned already in the year 1133 and it is one of the oldest tourist resorts of Switzerland. Toward south it is on an altitude of 570 m on the foot of the famos mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In the beautiful surrounding of the Swiss alps Interlaken offers a perfect environment for a stimulating scientific conference and plenty of nice places to visit for leisure activities. The river Aare and the two lakes invite you to take a refreshing bath in the clean water from the mountains.
We are arranging a memorable social program with a visit of the Jungfrau Joch on 3680 m and a walk on the glacier or alternatively a boat trip on the lake of Thun for those who prefer to stay at low altitude close to the water.
