Europe’s ‘Energy City’ plays host to the first H2FC Supergen Annual Conference

The first H2FC Supergen Annual  Conference took place in Aberdeen in conjunction with the UK’s largest renewable energy event All-Energy.

The event which took place on May 21st and May 22nd was attended by some of the UK’s most prominent names in Hydrogen & Fuel Cell research from academia, industry and government organisations.The first day of the conference focused on the academic aspects of Hydrogen and Fuel Cell work and a explored a diverse range of themes such as the challenges for UK policy around Hydrogen,  Hydrogen Production and Hydrogen Storage.The second day had more of an industrial focus with speakers looking at the recent H2 Mobility Report, Germany’s attention to  Wind to Hydrogen techniques and examples of how Hydrogen vehicles are being utilised with a talk on Transport for London’s Hydrogen Bus fleet.

We thank all of the speakers who gave excellent presentations and to those who attended the event. The next H2FC Supergen will take place in late 2013 and will be focused around PhD students and Post Docs working in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research.
